Personally, neither Tamara nor Jerson are big fans of tacos “to go”. We feel that the delicate dryness of the tortilla gets compromised no matter how short the travel time. So many patrons have been ordering tacos to go that I (Tamara) myself attempted it the other night. Unfortunately, it was not a happy experience. My gorgeous tortillas had become cold and soggy on the trip and they even split in half when I was trying to eat the tacos! (The supple consistency seems to only last while the tacos are fresh off of the comal).

Consequently, we have decided that we will no longer send tacos out of Hernande’z packaged “to go”. From now on, please only order tacos if you have the time to eat them at Hernande’z!
