Sean is our good friend. He is also a fantastic artist. He does storyboards and concept work for companies like Disney etc. He worked on the hammers on Pink Floyd’s The Wall. He also paints. This is a gift from Sean. The “sandwich board” (ha ha–talk about elevating a medium) has two images. On one side is a traditional mesoamerican woman holding tamales in a banana leaf (one of Jerson’s specialties). On the other side is a different Mayan woman grinding corn for tortillas freshly made tortillas. In the background, Sean has immortalized our children playing with their little dog, “Chula”. (…oh…they’re already so much older!) You can see this mini-mural at Bay Street.
